Illustrations for Bookish a student start-up magazine from City, University of London. The brief was to illustrate the experience of reading, be it the physical or emotional experience or settings in which people read in.
I looked into settings with subtle hints at reading for my first illustration. I wanted to illustrate a calm and peaceful space where a person may relax.
The second illustration I did aimed to be more emotive. I personally have a reading list longer than my arm and I often start a book without finishing the last one. I often feel like I'm balancing them all on my head at once.
